I’ve been a part of the Swinerton family for six and a half years, serving as Operations Manager. My journey here has been nothing short of transformative.

Professional Journey:

After earning my Master of Architecture from Parsons School of Design in New York City, I ventured into interior architecture at BR Design. There, I discovered my passion for the intricacies of construction administration. This love for detail, organization, and structure led me to Swinerton, where I began as an Assistant Project Manager in San Francisco. Over the years, I’ve progressed through various roles, leveraging my architecture background to deliver excellence in project management. In 2023, I seized the opportunity to return to New York as Operations Manager for our NYC Division.

Role and Responsibilities:

In my current role, I oversee all construction activities in the NYC Division, ensuring adherence to our company’s standards across safety, quality, scheduling, and client service. Additionally, I play a pivotal role in preconstruction, business development, and talent development. I aim to provide our teams with the support and resources they need to excel while streamlining our procedures for maximum efficiency.

Challenges and Triumphs:

Stepping into the competitive NYC market posed challenges, but our team’s resilience and adaptability have been remarkable. Embracing change and fostering a collaborative spirit have been key to our success. I’m particularly proud of how we’ve navigated these challenges, setting a solid foundation for the year ahead.

Advice for Aspiring Professionals:

To aspiring women in construction, I say: be authentic, embrace your unique perspective, and never shy away from seeking support. Trust your instincts, but remain open to diverse viewpoints. And remember, emotions have a place, but decision-making benefits from a straightforward, analytical mind.

Swinerton has been instrumental in my growth, providing opportunities to showcase my strengths and offering invaluable mentorship.

Personal Touch:

What I cherish most about Swinerton is the sense of camaraderie and dedication among our employee-owners. It’s inspiring to be part of a team committed to excellence and mutual support.

Outside work, I enjoy cooking, exploring new recipes, and pursuing my passion for endurance sports. Completing an Ironman Triathlon is a personal goal, and you’ll often find me on my Peloton bike chasing that dream in the early hours.
